This is something we should have addressed sooner, I suppose, . . . but most users of GT5 had become accustomed to doing multiple images with the Image Uploader script and the FCK editor for product listings. Admittedly, the combination of using the Image Uploader script and FCK editor was originally intended as a means of easily placing images or diagrams into the product description.

Where we are at currently: we know how we would like the additional images feature to work and we have examined every osCommerce contribution we could find to accomplish what we want. Specifically, one primary image for each product listing with the option of adding as many additional product images as needed. Additionally we would like to be able to control the size and layout of the extra images (independently) in the admin area, as well as utilizing a navigable image gallery or lightbox effect. If all of this sounds extremely complicated, it surely is.

 The test listing is: HERE

Just a few minor tweaks and we will have accomplished what we set out to do.

As we do the final testing on the multiple images upgrade for GT5, we feel we are at the beta stage and can comfortably do an initial release. Please note that this multiple images upgrade is for existing GT5 installations only. It is a simple upgrade that will require a few files to be uploaded and a database query to be executed. If you are able to do these things and understand that this is a beta release, you can download the multiple images upgrade HERE
