I just hooked up at this site.   My email works alright...I think, but was told due to the new nameserver it may not be working right.   How do I get this resolved?

Hi Natflash

Your email may seem to be working but anything sent since the nameserver change has not gotten to the recipients. The good news is that you have not lost any incoming email, it is simply now stored on a different server. You can access it and use it via the web as a temporary measure. Simply follow the directions below:

replace www.yourdomainname.com with your actual domain name in the link below:

http://www.yourdomainname.com/webmail

Drop the modified link into your web browser where you will be presented with a password challenge. Use your email address as the username and the same password you use to log into this forum to log in. You will be then be presented with 3 choices for webmail interface (I recommend Roundcube).

Once you have done this and have caught up on any email you may have to resend, refer to the next post here where I will post instructions on how to proceed to getting it back to the way you had it set up before.

The words "Email Client" is a term used to describe your computer's onboard email program such as Microsoft Outlook or similar software.  What is described below assumes that you want to use your onboard email client to send and receive email using an email address based on your domain name. As a cpanel user it could not be easier.

Once you have logged into your webmail account as described in the previous post, you will be presented with the page as shown in the image below:

Click on the icon indicated by the red arrow. Next you must choose the appropriate link to auto-configure your email client. Choose one that does not have (SSL) at the end of it and is for POP3 access. Be certain you have chosen the correct one for your email program.

From here you will see a few intuitive prompts . . . that's it.

I followed the directions posted, but things are not jibing well.   I cannot use the autoconfigure part.   I know what works for me, and that is using my godaddy webmail.   I wish to just use godaddy as the host.   How do we go about getting back on track?
